Here's how today's #GumballSA debacle reminds me of an excellent novel I just read. Jennifer Egan's latest book, A Visit from the Goon Squad, is a book written for the age of blog posts and Facebook. Egan pushes the boundaries of what can reasonably be called a “novel” with this intricately structured and densely-linked set of stories. In the end though, I think the category hardly matters.
